Players on Pokémon TCG Live can open it a day earlier, from November 5, on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. The German edition, Delta-Herrschaft, shares the same date, so prices and pulls from Europe and North America line up from day one.

How many cards are in Delta Reign?

The Pokémon Company puts the set at over 135 cards, with more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. The media alert lists the rare cards one by one:

Card typeCount

Pokémon ex6

Ultra Rare (Pokémon and Trainers)17
Special Illustration Rare (Pokémon and Supporters)6

The full Delta Reign card list with every secret rare comes with the release. Shortly after, every card appears in our card database with its number, rarity, illustrator and its name in five more languages, just like the cards of every set before it. To look up any card by name in the meantime, use our card search.

Mega Rayquaza ex and the other Mega Evolutions

Mega Rayquaza ex leads the set. According to The Pokémon Company, it is the first Mega Rayquaza since XY Ancient Origins in 2015, more than eleven years ago. Three more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex join it:

  • Mega Rayquaza ex
  • Mega Golurk ex
  • Mega Malamar ex
  • Mega Golisopod ex

The Elite Trainer Box promo is Kyogre, Rayquaza's partner in the weather trio of the Hoenn region, which makes the pair a natural target for collectors who want both legends from the same release.

Legendary Stadiums, the new card type

Delta Reign introduces Legendary Stadiums: two Stadium cards played as a pair that together form one continuous picture. A booster pack that contains a Legendary Stadium holds both halves, so nobody needs a second pack to complete the image. The set has three of these pairs.

Delta Reign prerelease

Prerelease events start on October 24, 2026 at participating Play! Pokémon stores. Each player builds a 40-card deck from the Build & Battle Box and its four booster packs and plays with four Prize cards instead of six.

Japanese counterpart: Storm Emeralda

Like every main set of Mega Evolution, Delta Reign has a Japanese counterpart. Trade reports name Storm Emeralda (code M6), released in Japan on July 31, 2026, with Mega Rayquaza ex at its center. That puts 98 days between the Japanese and the English release. Next in Japan is Hadou Seeker (code M7) on November 27, 2026, featuring Mega Lucario Z-ex; going by the pattern so far, it points to the next English set after Delta Reign, which The Pokémon Company has not named yet.
